The Lynbrook Public Library
offers Free Fun Classes, Volunteer Opportunities & Summer Reading Club
for Young Adults
entering Grades 6-12

Summer Reading Club:

1. Sign-up for the Reading Club at the Children's Desk or click here to Register Online.

2. Read any books you like on your reading level. Books over 400 pgs. count as 2.

3. Turn in a mini-review at the library for each book you read. Reviews will be entered in our weekly drawing for a prize of your choice, come see our display case.

4. If you submit at least one review, you will receive an invitation to our Chinese Auction on Tues., Aug. 17 @ 7 PM. You earn one raffle ticket for each review you turn in.

Prizes: Mood Pencil, Braided Leather Bracelet, Waterproof Wallet, Silly Bands
Enter a Guess each week for our guessing jar.

Summer Reading Programs:
Program sign-ups for patrons of the Lynbrook Library Service area starts Mon., June 28. Outside residents may go on the waiting list & will be called if there is space. Programs labeled "All Welcome" have not residency requirement. All programs are Free. Telephone registration accepted starting June 30, 599-8630.

Medieval Knight, Tues., July 6 7:00-8:15 PM
Learn about medieval weapons & armor. You will have a chance to try on armor & ask questions.

YOGA @ the Recreation Building
Wed., July 7, 14, 21, 28 7:00-8:00 PM
Please bring a yoga mat or towel. Limit 20.

Taste gross foods & compete in challenging events.
Natural Henna Class
Tues., July 20 6:30-8:30 PM
Learn about henna and how to apply it. Body art can last 1-4 weeks. "All Welcome".

Discover Great Artists Tues., July 20 7:00-8:00 PM
Create a master piece that we will display in the library and then return to you. "All Welcome".

Learn juggling techniques from a professional juggler.

Recycle your garbage! Use cereal boxes and other colorful packaging to cut and paste your way to art. "All Welcome".

Learn how to draw fashion sketches with fabric swatches & create a portfolio.

Class 2: Project Runway

Outfit a paper doll model with your unique fashion design & stroll down the runway.
